The lab LPTMC "Laboratoire de Physique Théorique de la Matière Condensée" (Theoretical physics of condensed matter) in the Université Pierre et Marie Curie is a CNRS ("Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique", National Centre for Scientific Research) "Unité Mixte de Recherche" (UMR 7600).

The lab's main areas of research concern chemical reactions in liquids, quantum solids and liquids, reactivity in inhomogeneous media, disordered systems, complex fluids and statistical mechanics of living matter.
